Support our annual Daffodil Days campaign, which takes place March 22 – 27. With springtime nearing, the Canadian Cancer Society is gearing up for its annual tradition of covering Lethbridge and area with sunny daffodils. For this campaign we are looking for delivery and sales volunteers to help sell and/or deliver bright yellow daffodils. COUNTY OF LETHBRIDGE LITERACY PROGRAM Volunteer tutors are needed to help with speaking, reading and writing skills for ESL and other learners who would like to improve their English skills. Tutors must be able to volunteer for one to two hours per week. Orientation and training will be provided to all volunteers. Also join us for coffee and treats at the Picture Butte Library on March 10 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. to learn more about this program. CANADIAN BLOOD SERVICES, LETHBRIDGE Interested in volunteering with Canadian Blood Services in Lethbridge? Your help as a Customer Care Volunteer is needed to enhance the donor experience and provide customer service in the Donor Refreshment area of the Clinic. A variety of shifts are available, ranging from 2 to 4 hours on Tuesday through Saturday. Additional volunteer positions include Donor Ambassador and Volunteer Speaker. Individuals, businesses and organizations are welcome to inquire about these opportunities. Businesses and organizations could consider these opportunities as part of an initiative to give back to the community by volunteering for Canadian Blood Services and even challenge other businesses and organizations to do the same. We are always looking for general volunteers to help out our organization. CANADIAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION Be a part of the team leading the fight against Diabetes through research, advocacy, programs and services. GALT MUSEUM & ARCHIVES The Galt Museum & Archives is looking for special event volunteers to help plan the Centennial Celebrations for our building, as well as the Galt Baby Birthday Party, that will take place in September. Most volunteer work can be done from home with an occasional meeting. Access to email is beneficial but not necessary. GOOD SAMARITAN SOCIETY Do you have some extra time to share and could help out our residents? Recreation volunteers are needed to help out at our Good Samaritan Society locations in Lethbridge. This volunteer position is ongoing and is flexible with the volunteer’s schedule.
